One Book That Changed Everything

The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell

The Power of Myth is the book that is actually helping me write my first book, “ What is Mideus Print?” A very common question asked amongst my guest on Midas Print Podcast. I didn’t develop my brand fully to answer that question.

Because I didn’t have the answer I started to develop a level of uncertainty that was not troubling my spirit. I would question my own belief asking, “Yeah, what is Mideus Print?” , “Why don’t you know the answer” and “You stole that name from Midas Touch.”

Yes, I’m not ashamed to say that at first I got clever and changed the name or saying into another variation from Midas Touch to Midas Print. I have to give The Power of Myth more credit it helped me develop my brand further.

Once, I read the book I started to look at my logo differently, as a myth, a symbol of the human journey.

I wrote this quote about 3 years ago after a meditation session, “ The mind takes us places that the body cannot yet.” I understood that if the mind can go there, the body will eventually as well like thinking and growing rich.

Mideus Print inspires people to go on their hero’s journey focused on faith, movement, and mastery.

Faith is from James 2:14-26 and Kendrick Lamar’s “How Much A Dollar Cost.” Faith and magic are one and the same word. Hence, one day people will say I became a wealthy overnight but reality is I performed my magic trick in front of everyone for years until I mastered it and the right people came to support me. When in doubt rain dance!

Movement, circles back to Kendrick Lamar, which is my favorite artist, I’m a huge supporter since 2010.

Good Kid, MAAD City was a classic but To Pimp A Butterfly was a movement, one that was rooted in African American culture, music, racial inequality, depression, and politics.

It moved me to desire reaching my highest potential and I used the movement of my blue ink 07 G-2 Pilot Pen.

We fly high and private…

Traveling the world of my neurons sending signals of the possibilities of the life I truly desire to the point of moving towards it.

Movement=Mind Over Matter = “ The mind takes us places that the body cannot yet.”

Physical training is just the fuel that my brain needs to remain in control. Mind-Body connection.

Mastery is the end result of patience and til this day I tell myself, “ Let patience have her perfect work.”

James 1:4-8, I use to affirm this constantly until I couldn’t forget it. Mastering the embodiment of a myth, Mideus Print, takes time, effort, and energy. A shift in an identity that I created from my past, in the now is where it’s happening and the mastered future.

I needed to create a myth that’s global in scope and give a shared sense of identity and purpose, using symbols like mine.

The Mark of Motion

It’s clear and clear straight forward but the meaning is profound. Let’s get into it!

My manifesto: I believe every human is born to move, create, and leave a trace.

I believe silence kills stories, and stories keep the world alive.

I believe we are all travelers shaping the earth through imagination and impact.

My journey is my art. My mark is my legacy. I move the world by moving myself.

A breakdown of the symbol

Gold Earth: Legacy — what you leave behind. Purple Waves: Energy — the unseen movement, aura, and frequency of creation. Circular Flow: Continuity — motion never ends, only transforms.

Typography: Command — the words are the mantra and movement code.

Personally, I thought about my childhood, developing this symbol, characters, and myth.

Such as Orie, a representation of my childhood self and my son.

Mideus Print “ The World Traveller” is where I am now and I create stories and connections through challenges in the world, to improving behaviors and growing.

I’m learning to draw and sketch these characters but for now what I have displayed in previous blogs is generated through Chat GPT.

I wanted to see Mideus Print as an anchor to create and navigate when feeling free and societal pressure. I believe traveling because I travelled to learn and scientifically proven change your mind on a chemical level. I believe in education because I love teaching World Geography and self education. Also I believe in knowing yourself because can’t nobody come before or be put above me when I do.
